Science tutoring for students in the UK
Combined and Triple Science taught to your child’s specification, including the required practicals that the papers examine directly.
Combined or Triple changes the content, and the practicals are examined
UK students take either Combined Science, worth two GCSEs, or three separate sciences. Triple covers additional content and is usually a prerequisite for A Level in that subject, so the choice made in Year 9 quietly shapes sixth-form options two years later. A student in Combined who wants A Level chemistry has a gap to close, and it is better found early.
The required practicals are the other thing families underestimate. Each board specifies a set of practicals, and the written papers ask about them directly: the method, the variables, the sources of error. Students who did the experiment in Year 10 and never revised it lose marks on questions that have nothing to do with the theory.
Science across every year group in United Kingdom
Tutors start from a diagnostic in the free trial, then teach what your child’s class is covering now. Examinations supported: GCSE Combined and Triple Science, and A Level biology, chemistry and physics.

The real problem is rarely more practice
"He is in Combined Science and wants A Level chemistry."
Then there is specific additional content to cover, and it is far cheaper to close in Year 11 than in the first term of Year 12. We identify exactly which topics from marked work.
"She loses marks on the six-markers."
Extended response is marked on the quality of a linked explanation, not on the number of facts. It is a structure that can be taught and practised, and it is where a grade often sits.
"The required practicals are just forgotten."
They are examined directly, and revising them is quick because there are a fixed number of them. It is among the most efficient revision available in a GCSE year.
"The maths in physics is the real problem."
Rearranging equations, standard form and units cost more marks than the physics does. We teach them explicitly rather than assuming they arrive from maths lessons.

How tutoring runs for UK families
Taught to your board and tier, scheduled in GMT or BST.
Free trial class
A real lesson with a subject specialist, followed by a discussion of the gaps measured against the specification rather than against the year group.
Specification check
We confirm the exam board and tier, then work from that board’s past papers, mark schemes and examiner reports.
Weekly slot after school
Weekday evenings and weekends in GMT or BST, with the same tutor each week.
Marked against grade boundaries
Practice questions scored the way the board scores them, including method marks, so a predicted grade is evidence rather than a guess.
The same approach applies to every subject: our coaching methodology explains how a lesson is planned, marked and followed up. You can also see everything we teach in United Kingdom or read reviews from parents.
What families say about science
“I am happy to recommend Augment Edutech to anyone looking for Science tuition for their children. Their classes are well structured and the teachers are qualified and very competent. Overall value for money.”
USA
“The physics classes are great with Prakriti mam! My child gets lessons that fit their needs, and the teacher make things easy to understand. I recommend it if you want your child to do well in physics.”
USA
“Augment Edutech has really helped my child learn better. The teachers give each student attention and make science interesting. My child now understands things more easily and feels more confident.”

An honest read against the specification
One lesson with a subject specialist working from your child’s own exam board, and marked practice scored against real grade boundaries.
- Free, with no obligation
- Taught to your board and tier
- Evidence before the tier decision
