Science tutoring for students across Australia
Australian Curriculum v9 through Year 10, and your state’s senior science courses, including the investigation tasks they assess internally.
The internal investigation carries marks that examinations cannot recover
Senior science in Australia is not only examined at the end. New South Wales requires depth studies, Victoria requires practical investigations, and Queensland assesses through internal tasks across the year. These carry a meaningful share of the final result and they are completed under supervision, which means a weak one cannot be repaired by a strong final examination.
Students are rarely taught how to do them. Designing a valid investigation, controlling variables, analysing uncertainty and writing a scientific discussion are distinct skills from knowing the content, and they are the ones most likely to be self-taught badly.
Science across every year group in Australia
Tutors start from a diagnostic in the free trial, then teach what your child’s class is covering now. Examinations supported: HSC, VCE, QCE, WACE and SACE senior sciences.

The real problem is rarely more practice
"Her depth study is worth a lot and nobody taught her how to do one."
Very common. Investigation design, variable control, uncertainty and scientific discussion are teachable skills distinct from the content, and they are exactly what the task marks.
"He knows the content and writes poor extended responses."
Senior science marking rewards a linked, structured explanation using the correct terminology. Knowing more facts does not fix it; structure does.
"We moved from Queensland to New South Wales in Year 11."
The assessment structures differ substantially between states even where content overlaps. The trial class establishes what is genuinely new.
"Is Physics or Biology the easier ATAR subject?"
Neither reliably. Physics is more mathematical, Biology is more writing-heavy and has more content to retain. We will give you an honest read based on your child rather than a general answer.

How tutoring runs for Australian families
Australian Curriculum and your state syllabus, in AEST, ACST or AWST.
Free trial class
A real lesson, and a report on where your child sits against their year level rather than against the class they happen to be in.
State and syllabus check
We confirm the state before matching a tutor, because Years 11 and 12 follow the state certificate rather than a single national syllabus.
Weekly slot in your time zone
After school and weekends across eastern, central and western time, with the same tutor each week.
Term-aligned progress
Parent-teacher meetings that fit the four-term year, with an honest read before each assessment block rather than after it.
The same approach applies to every subject: our coaching methodology explains how a lesson is planned, marked and followed up. You can also see everything we teach in Australia or read reviews from parents.
What families say about science
“I am happy to recommend Augment Edutech to anyone looking for Science tuition for their children. Their classes are well structured and the teachers are qualified and very competent. Overall value for money.”
USA
“The physics classes are great with Prakriti mam! My child gets lessons that fit their needs, and the teacher make things easy to understand. I recommend it if you want your child to do well in physics.”
USA
“Augment Edutech has really helped my child learn better. The teachers give each student attention and make science interesting. My child now understands things more easily and feels more confident.”
