Online tuition for students in Singapore

Taught to the MOE syllabus at the subject level your child actually sits, because tuition pitched at the wrong level is either demoralising or a waste of the hour.

What we hear

What Singapore families come to us with

Subject level, more than subject. Under Full Subject-Based Banding a student can take different subjects at G1, G2 or G3, so a child may sit maths at one level and science at another. Tuition that ignores this is pitched wrongly for at least one subject.

And PSLE, where the pressure is real and the most useful thing a tutor does is narrow the work. The score is the sum of four Achievement Levels and runs from 4 to 32, with 4 the best. Moving one subject from AL4 to AL3 is worth more than a general revision programme across all four.

Curriculum

The curriculum your child is graded on in Singapore

Tutors work from your child’s own school material and assessments. The school year runs early january to mid-november, in four terms across two semesters.

How it works

How tuition runs for Singapore families

MOE syllabus at your child’s subject level, scheduled in Singapore time.

01

Free trial class

A real lesson with a subject specialist, and a read on which topics are genuinely weak rather than which ones feel hard.

02

Subject level check

We confirm the level your child takes each subject at, so the material is pitched where they are actually assessed.

03

Weekly slot in Singapore time

After school and weekends in SGT, with the same tutor each week.

04

Timed to the school’s own assessments

Parent-teacher meetings planned around the weighted assessments rather than arriving after them, with one on demand whenever you ask.

How a lesson is planned and taught is set out in our coaching methodology, and the quality system behind it is ISO 9001:2015 certified. If you would rather hear it from families first, read what parents say about us, or see who we are.

What families tell us

“We first contacted Jyoti after coming across Augment EduTech through a research on Google. We wanted help for our child preparing for IGCSE - English. Our child was already doing decent in English but we wanted professional help so he could sharpen his skill and more importantly come to realise that English is not a burden but an essential skill whose relevance extends beyond just curriculum. We got introduced to Ms. PRIYANKA and we were very fortunate to find a person who understand what we wanted to achieve. Over our first discussion she understood what we wanted, where are child was and how to best continue our childs skills development. Over the course of next few months as the classes progressed we noticed that our childs skills improved steadily and reflected in consistent performance. FINALLY in the IGCSE exams he scored a solid A which was the best he ever scored in English in his 2 years of IGCSE. Our child was very happy and we were very happy with the outcome and even his teacher was happy that he delivered a commendable results. We would whole heartedly recommend Augment Edutech to everyone. We also engaged them to prepare our child for Math Olympiads and it was a great experience.”

Questions before you book

Do you follow the MOE syllabus?
Yes, and at the subject level your child actually takes, whether that is G1, G2 or G3 under Full Subject-Based Banding. A student taking maths at G3 and science at G2 is taught each at its own level.
Do you prepare for PSLE?
Yes. The first sessions are diagnostic, because the PSLE score is the sum of four Achievement Levels from 4 to 32, and the gain almost always comes from lifting one or two weak subjects rather than revising all four again.
What replaces the O-Level and N-Level?
From 2027 the Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate replaces both, with results reported by subject level. We teach to the subject levels your child sits.
Do you teach Additional Mathematics?
Yes. A-Math and E-Math are taught by different specialists, because A-Math assumes algebraic fluency that E-Math does not and the two fail for different reasons.
Do you teach the IB or Cambridge IGCSE?
Yes, for families whose children are in international schools rather than the MOE system.
Is one-to-one worth it in a PSLE year?
It is the format that lets a tutor spend a whole session on one weak topic, which is usually what a PSLE year needs and what a group class cannot give.
